Taping the SD card to avoid loosing it in a crash

Is this necessary? Is the SD snug enough for it not to fall out on impact... I was thinking to put strong tape to seal the SD card in a possible case of it sliding out of the gimbal mount on impact...

I've crashed more times then I'd like to admit and never lost the sd card

If you crash hard enough to lose a properly inserted SD card...that is going to be the least of your worries.
