This is my first long range FPV test on stock Vision+ aircraft. My setup are as below:
- Stock Vision+ aircraft
- Homebrew LHCP helical antenna
- Rocket
M2 AP/Repeater (configured 23dBm 200mW TX power)
- 5.8G Transmitter with 11dBi/14dBi patch panel
11dBi 45-degree beam width

14dBi 35-degree beam width

- Rooted Nexus 7 (2012 model) running Android 4.4 Vision app 1.0.39 with Preview Quality 640x480 15fps

I have some very interesting findings on the new Vision+:
- Vision+ aircraft Wifi module TX power is substantially lower (I estimate only 10-20mW) than original Vision camera (100-125mW), but the stock Vision+ FPV range is double. This is likely due to DJI using a new communication protocol on Vision+, and I guess it's similar to Lightbridge.
- Android Vision app 1.0.39 is still showing N/A beyond 2KM, comparing to previous version showing N/A beyond 1KM.
- 3-axis gimbal is very stable, and no post video processing of stabilization required.
- I love flying "FPV Mode" instead of conventional video mode, which let me have some sort of Top Gun (or Superman) feel.
