Should i update firmware before first flight on my phantom 4?

Hello.
First time drone owner here. And I was wondering if I should upgrade my phantom 4 firmware before my first flight with it?
How did you guys do it?
Any tips?

You don't have to upgrade the firmware, but it's a good idea to do so since the firmware has been out for a while and is stable. If needed, you can find detailed installation instructions here.

Congratulations!! I hope you enjoy flying your new P4. I have 3 other DJI quad copters and have just gotten into the habit of doing the firmware updates. When I purchased my P4 a couple of weeks ago I just did the firmware update immediately and it has been flying great. Starting with the P4 DJI has made it really easy to do the firmware updates. I use a Windows PC and an Apple Air 2 on the RC and the update was flawless. Have fun and fly safe!
