Recording and using shutter speed?

I'm a complete noob to photography, thought I knew the basics but I obviously don't, because I see so many people talking about adjusting their shutter speed while recording video.

I was under the impression thats only for photos, not videos.

So how should someone like me adjust the shutter speed to, @ 1080@60fps

Just adjust it in the camera menu. 1080p 60fps will give you nice smooth video.
