I'm new to the forum even though I have been silently studying tons of your posts in the last few weeks!
Got my new P3P 10 days ago (first drone I own) and spent lot of time practicing and doing short/mid flights and experimenting the different flight modes.
This weekend we came to our countryside house which is in the middle of nowhere and it was sunny and not windy at all so I decided to give it a go: raised my P4 and sent it out straight...
I have been reading a lot about CE limitations but, surprisingly, I reached 2.472m (about 8.100 ft.) before seeing for my first time "Aircraft disconnected" on the DJI GO.
Even though this was what I was looking for, I must admit I panicked a little when the live camera view disappeared, and after about 40 (loooong) seconds here it is back in my screen, the P3 coming straight to me.
It reconnected at 1.800m distance so that means he turned around and did 700m by itself before connecting back to my RC.
Landed safely with 50% battery, the entire flight took me around 10 minutes.
So what are the real limitations of CE?
What distances are u guys in CE areas reaching??
I am located in Italy (just off Bologna),

Was flying in P mode - safe to fly GPS
