regdawg, I am with you. I thought it was not allowed.
One of my concerns is about flying around people. The most scenic areas are filled with hikers, rock climbers, and cyclists. The last thing we need is a drone startling someone into a fall or causing a cyclist to crash.
I am not trying to start any arguments with anyone who actively flies there. To each his/her own. I just know that for me, there are plenty of other scenic places, such as Lee Canyon, that are safer.
