Problem Downloading photos to an Ipad Pro used to control a P4P

Just purchased new P4P and Ipad Pro. Everything is good except can't download the photos/videos via cable link to the Ipad. Doesn't seem to recognise the drone. Can download photos to a Windows Surface Pro.
I am not a Mac person, and went with the Ipad with a gun to my head. PCs I can deal with.
Any thoughts about this issue.

You need aLightning to USB Camera Adapter, or the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader. What cable/adaptor are you using?

I used the "lightning to USB" that came with the Ipad into the "USB to Micro USB" adapter supplied with the P4P.

So I suppose I need to purchase Camera adapter. Not an easy thing to do from where I am. I couldn't hazard a guess why this would be needed to read "a card" when a PC will do it on its ear.
It has been driving me mad.
I have got to 66 avoiding Mac stuff. I can see why.

You will need a card reader like following:
