Power company uses drone on power lines

I've got a feeling the FAA here in the US would never go for that LOL.

The applications of this technology have only just begun...

We had a contractor come in last week with a phantom to run a thin line up 800', small line to pull a bigger line that would then pull up the power line. Got over the crest, lost connection, operator let it return to home. About 200' from landing coming straight down it sucked the thin line into one of its props. 200' free fall, landed right at its 'home' point [emoji23]
