Phantom 4 landing gear replace

For those having difficulty replacing P4P Strut Covers that have popped out or otherwise been lost in an accident:

Although they may appear to be 2 matched pairs, each cover is in fact UNIQUELY DIFFERENT and has an ID # 1-4 embossed on the inside to support this. Each cover must be matched to the correct Strut opening (I've asked DJI for documentation on which goes to which)

Once correct assignment is made, assemble Cover onto Strut:

First, note each cover has a snap on each side and two square shaped bottom tabs and a little round top tab; there is a mating hole in the strut's interior for this tab.
a) Remove any Gimbal lock attached to the Struts, if any.
b) Insert the 2 bottom tabs in the opening.
c) While holding the Cover in position bend the Strut in a direction opposite the opening so as to "elongate" the opening JUST enough to allow the round top tab to clear the opening.
c) While holding the Strut in this position snap the cover closed then release the strut, the round tab should engage the hole and the Cover should fit flush on all sides.

As designed, Covers are secure, but they can pop off if the strut is bent enough (as in a crash) to release that round top tab.
