my phantom 3 advanced transmitter won't turn on unless it is plugged in. When plugged in to charger everything appears to be ok. Status light works, and all 4 battery lights are solid white indicating full charge. If I unplug charger from remote it turns off. Any advice would be appreciated.

When unplugged, press power button once, then again until lights are on (approximately 2 seconds).
Has it ever turned on? You do know the correct procedure to turn it on it not just pushing the button down once. As Tyson said, push the power button down once, release, then quickly push it down again and hold it down.

Yes, I got my phantom 3 a month or so after it came out. Ive had many successful flights and it has been relatively problem free until now.
