P3P range

I know I'm in a suburban area, but I'm only getting 2500ft. I expected a little more. What do you guys suggest?
Yes, my antennas are positioned properly... and I tried positioning them other ways too, just to see if it helped.

Urban WIFI, electrical interference is usually very high. Also any object, house, buildings, trees will effect the range. I use external antennas combined with amplifiers to overcome this

in the country i got 3 miles one way but i have a range extender on my remote control
