P2 Controller beep?

Should the P2 controller emit any beeps at any time? I am sure I read in some instructions that the controller beeped for various things, but mine is completely silent.

I think the controller on the P1 beeped but not the P2 controller as far as I am aware

AFAIK only the 5.8 GHz PVT581 transmitter used with the P2V and FC40 beeps to signal either CE or FCC setting. The P1 and P2 uses 2.4 GHz and doesn't have this setting.

If there is no input in the controller for 15-20 minutes, it will beep. You can flick one of the controls to stop it.

If you turn off your Phantom but leave the controller on it will beep. :shock:
