So the 2 wires on my cooling fan broke off at the female micro connector. I seem to have 3 choices,
1. Try to buy an entire replacement assembly ( anyone have one cheap, not looking to spend alot)
2. Buy replacement fan with connector attached ( need source)
3.attempt to find another connector, and attempt to attach it to the wires (need to know size ofsource of connector and a source to do this)
4. Attempt to solder a set of wires direct to board where the male connector is attached ( am nervous, as space is very constrained, don't want to ruin the board)
5. Find the voltage of the fan, and look for another supply source on the board (that is always on) that is easier to solder to ( anyone know supply voltage and an easy to get to source on the board?)
If anyone can offer info., or parts source (new or used) for above, I would appreciate the help.
