My drone video made the newspaper :-)

Looks like the OC Register included my video in their story on the Surf City Splash:

Although they didn't mention the video in the text, at least here a "drone" video is being used in a positive sense.

Your video reminds me why I'm glad I don't live in L.A.

Too many bozos who think they know everything, esp. when you're trying to focus on being a good pilot and getting a nice camera shot. Sounds like you had Cheech Marin giving you lots of "helpful" advice on this flight.

Wow. If that were in Australia, you'd need all sorts of permissions to do that.
From CASA, event organizers, local authorities, and maybe even a signoff from participants.

Great video, thanks for sharing. They do that sort of caper up here in the far North of Scotland, but it's too cold for me to be out flying let alone taking a dip.

I did it for one in South Carolina and didn't have to ask anyone.

How ironic is this, after my last post watching your video I switched back to my BBC radio 2 radio programme that I have running on my computer at all time and the record they were playing was surfing USA by the Beach Boys. How spooky is that?
