My friend told me that she has to take-off from her drone case in order to not crash her drone whenever she attempts taking- off from the ground. Is there any information on the subject of how to take-off properly. Personally I always lift-off from the ground without any issues...

Try these tips:
  • Ensure the takeoff spot is level and not within 10 feet of any magnetic metal objects
  • Do a CSC to start the motors
  • Hold the left stick (throttle) in the full up position until the Phantom takes off and ascends to at least 10 feet

She is trying to lift off to slowly. She need to give it immediate full up on the throttle. A quick sudden push up until it is in the air. The reason it seems to work better from her case is the quad is elevated and it is not getting as much prop wash as it would sitting closer to the ground.
Or just use the app and the auto take off feature.
