I have a P3 Advanced. Quite a few flights last year. It is spring now and I am thinking about flying. I just wonder about prop life. I see so many posts about a P3 "falling from the sky" that I wonder about prop life. If a prop failed during a fight it would surely result in a crash. Any advice about how often to change props?

Regards, Jim

LOTS of previous threads on this.

Lifetime depends on trauma or other contact with anything but air.

My longest in-use set is on a P2.
3 years next month.

I'm still on my original set of props for my Inspire 1 Pro, been about a year.

If you've not hit anything and they appear to be structurally sound with a good thread and decent lock they are fine.

You should inspect your props before every flight. Check them for damage along the sides of the blades, for cracks on the outside or inside of the hub, or for worn threads inside of the hub. If all looks okay, then you can continue to use them until you notice one of those issues.

Never damaged any, never changed any. All my DJI and other quads have the original props.

Zero..... which is far less than the number of times people have said "Wow! That search button is just so helpful"....
