My P2 has a GoPro under it. It has its own battery power, so when you kill power to the P2, the gimbal dies, and the camera drops to filming almost fully downwards, but at least it keeps filming. In theory it could film for quite a while with its own onboard battery.
I once left the camera on by accident, and even though I only recorded the ground for about 15 minutes as I packed up, I unfortunately also got all the audio of me chatting away as I was packing up. It's amazing how banal a conversation can seem afterwards. All without a battery in the bird at all and just running off the GoPro's battery..
I wonder what would happen if a fall totally destroyed the GoPro. I wonder if video is recoverable after a GoPro gets totalled the way you've managed to get so much of this video back.
