Is there a way to tell which generation motors my P3A has?

If they look like this, they're the original units...

If they don't then they're the revised "A" version

They are the same performance-wise. If you decide to upgrade the motors, you'll also have to install the new version of the center board.

If your motors look like a flat 5 point star on the top, they are the newer issue.
But newer isn't necessarily better.
