iPad running hot

Anyone have an issue with their iPad mini getting very warm during flight. Mine seems to heat up considerably.

I use an iPad Air 2 and an iPhone 6+ and have no problem with either one running hot.

Mini 2 ambient temp specs state 95 degrees fahrenheit as the max. That's not real high if you ask me. I'm looking at getting a USB fan to see if the micro USB port on the controller will power it and if it makes a difference. If you ask me this is a business opportunity for someone if that port outputs power. You could probably print a bracket that houses and powers 2 fans and attaches to the DJi tablet holder.

I literally received my new Inspire today in KC, MO where it is in the 90's today. I also purchased an IPAD Air for a monitor. I was flying for no more than 10 min and it shut down due to the temp. Has anyone that had problems with iPads shutting down from overheating purchased a hoodie and had that mitigate the overheating issue completely? I would be very interested in your perspective.

Haven't had that issue yet but the Summer heat is just now arriving, was 106º yesterday, and looks like a spell of hot days ahead. So I will get my chance to test the RTH if the iPad craps out due to heat.

I've had the iPhone go into overheat mode and it was only 95 degrees out.. however, it was also direct sunlight... I need to get a shade...
