Inside flight, never again!

So I just tried flying my p4 inside and it didn't go so well. The p4 is ok. Me, not so much! I wanted to check out the vps inside cause I've heard great things about it but it's not that great. I won't be doing that again. Can anybody say "OUCH!"?

It was my own fault tho. The vps worked. It worked to well. I got a warning before it left the ground that something was close so when it took off it immediately backed away from my cabinets. I was behind is so it would hit me instead of the fridge if it did back up. Well it did back up, and it did hit me. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!

I tried one time flying indoors and will never again. This was awhile back when I was still green at the controls.
I had a P3P at the time and lifted off in my room to about 5 feet. It started drifting and I panicked and moved the stick the wrong way. It was facing me so I should have pushed it up to go forward, instead, I pushed it down making it go backward and it backed right into my Television. Only broke one prop on the bird, but cracked the glass panel inside my flat panel TV ruining it. $350 down the drain!
Perhaps if I was in a gymnasium or auditorium I would try it again, but highly doubtful.
Expensive lessons are the best remembered.

I only fly my Mavic inside and only in tripod mode... Glad you're OK.

Don't try this at home.!! Man lucky what you do kick it....I now only fly little ones inside,,,I had lucky escape to

took ages to heal

I won't ever be doing that unless it was a gym or something large. I have a little helicopter for indoors.

Sux what happened, you really need to be more mindful of any environment you are considering A flight. Also never use auto take off if you don't have to and especially in confined spaces. Here is how it's done right using a Phantom 3
