Homemade Antennas/Reflectors

I had considered experimenting with a metal reflector, but it occurred to me that I sometimes loose track of where my bird is and I will occasionally find I have inadvertently flown it behind me. (my monitor is in a sun box that I look into while flying.) I think a reflector around the rc antenna would eliminate any possibility for me to send or receive a signal from behind. I guess you could say I canned the idea.
