Hello All,
I have ordered this phantom http://coptershop.com/collections/ready-to-fly-copters/products/dji-phantom-1
And then found this forum and just started reading. It has been a few days of reading and some ordering (from the knowlage I found here) and would like to say WOW what a great group of adults here. I hope to become family here.
With the knowlage from here I have ordered 2 zippy 2800 mah 25 c lipos
1 camera http://m.ebay.com/itm/301587382760?_mwBanner=1
An anti jello http://m.ebay.com/itm/311085702291?_mwBanner=1
For now I'm done. The bird (new term from here) will be delivered Monday and I can't wait to read the manuals. I'm waiting for my new bird to see which new props I'll be getting (the 9" that screw on or the ones that need a nut to tighten)
About my self. My name is Ricardo and have been in the RC car scene for years and know how to take care of, repair, Solder my toys back together. I have things like lipo testers and after market charger that charges everything from ni-cad to lead acid.
As far as quad copters I started last year with little tiny ones that fit on a saltine cracker then moved up to Palm sized then to a heli-max 230si. This copter got me into video recording.
I knew about Dji at this point but just wanted to make sure it's what I wanted to do before shelling out the dough. My 14 year old son and I have a new addiction. With every flight it gets higher and further but is a scary flight because it is not gps assisted.
So we know how fly non gps quads from tiny...tiny ( I find to be the hardest ) to medium size now without there guards on any more. I'm thinking learning the phantom shouldn't take us to long.
With all the reading I've done I only have one question for everybody.
Where to buy Dji official props ( 9" for that 2extra minutes or so) and parts from?
Thanks, Ricardo.
