Havvn't Flown in a Couple Years Tablet Wont connect

Afternoon. Did some research here, but couldn't find my problem.

I got a P3P. Had a mystery roof shingle in my back yard. Wanted to get the drone out to try and inspect roof.

Bird and controller connect fine. My old samsung tablet that I only use for the P3P (DJI GO 2.8.2) is stuck on "HOW TO CONNECT"

I know the tablet is connecting to the remote.

Afternoon,

The tablet is an old Samsung. It was very reliable when put away couple years ago. WIFI turned off. All the tablet was used for was the P3P.

After the controller and bird are powered on, I plug in the tablet. The battery icon on the tablet changes showing it is connected to USB and it also gives an audible ring. It does the same when I unplug the tablet from the controller.

I tried another USB cable and it behaves the same.

Be sure the cable is a data cable and not just a power cable.
