Looks like a project that must have been fun to work on. This could work if the phantom was stationary or slowly moving and not see the catcher comming because if you did see him comming I realy think that that there is no way the net guy could follow my flight path. Also if the net missed and just caused the bird to crash in a crowd who would be resposible for injuries? I think a safe way to stop a bird from entering a NFZ would be to somehow scamble the communication and cause a RTH.
