I bought a connector upgrade for my H3-3D because I hate the flimsy ribbon USB connector it came with. The install went smoothly as my Hero 3 has power and the gimbal is fully functional. I don't have an FPV setup (yet), so I can't test video out, but it seems promising.
I have one issue, though. I followed the DIY guidelines found here: http://www.ifpv.co.uk/dji-zenmuse-h3-3d ... r-upgrade/
Step 8 says to reattach the alloy blanking place to the rear of the connector as it is needed for balancing. See here: http://www.ifpv.co.uk/wp-content/upload ... 00x225.jpg
But notice that the picture does not have it attached with any screws even though the kit coming with 3 extra long screws. So I tried to attached the alloy blanking plate using 2 of the extended screws, but I'm finding they don't "catch" onto (or screw into) anything besides the blanking plate, so the plate doesn't stay attached.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!
