I've searched and searched and cannot find any answers on what bitrates the GoPro Black 3+ uses in different modes/resolutions. Specifically, Protune mode. I've heard "up to 45 mbps", but is this for all resolutions?
Does Protune 2.7k record at the same bitrate as 1080? If so, 1080 would logically produce the cleanest image of the two because there would be more bits per pixel, right?. I shot my first 2.7k footage over the weekend and it looked noisy compared to 1080 (both Protune). Anyone know?
Edit: OK, I just did a quick test (why didn't I think of that before?). 2.7k is exactly twice the bitrate of 1080 in Protune. So if we assume 2.7k=45mbps, then 1080=23? 1080 with Protune turned off is about 20% smaller than with it on, so I'll guess 1080 (Protune off)=18mbps.
