As I said, i've had this problem straight out of the box. I've added nothing. I haven't even flown it yetAre you using 3rd party filters? They add weight which can cause gimbal overloads
Prior. I turn on the gimbal and it overheatsIs this just happening with your Phantom sitting there turned on and not flying? Or are you noticing it right after a flight?
If it's the prior, then you may not have a problem at all, as they do get hot without airflow. It is recommended that a fan be aimed at the gimbal if it is on without flying for a while.
Sorry, you replied before I edited my post.Prior. I turn on the gimbal and it overheats
I've flown it. Its still hot.I notice mine is hot when just sitting there using simulator. But when I took outside to fly, it didn't get hot at all. Fly it and see.
This isn't the main problem. The main problem is the gimbal over heats when its just sitting there for ~1 minute.Helped me
It sounds to me like a candidate to be returned to the place of purchase for a replacement. This isn't the main problem. The main problem is the gimbal over heats when its just sitting there for ~1 minute.
I ordered my dji off of amazon. could you take me through the return process? It sounds to me like a candidate to be returned to the place of purchase for a replacement.
