Make sure you understand the Return to home feature and set the RTH altitude high enough to clear any objects in your area. Also know if the RTH is set to feet or meters! And Welcome!!

I thought the same thing and after reading through these forums I realized that RTH can occur under several non pilot initiated conditions such as loss of signal and low battery. This is now on my preflight checklist.

Tips!! Watch out for trees lol ive had my phantom 3 for a month and can fly it really well, also make sure you have a good gps lock and be aware off your surroundings...
