"Enable AMAP (for China Mainland)"

So going through every available option in my P3A I noticed in General Settings "Enable Amap (for China Mainland)" and "Calibrate Map Coordinates (for China Mainland)"... What exactly is an Amap, and what benefit is there to keep them enabled? What do you gain/lose if these options are disabled?

DJI has not documented those settings anywhere, so nobody really knows what they do for sure. If you're not in mainland China, then you should keep them disabled.
