Downgrading firmware on P3P from 1.10.9 to 1.7.6

OK. Let the flash run over 1/2 hour.
Still have 1.8.80+
Will try straight 1.9.6 a bit later.
If that doesn't work, flash debug/1.8.80?

What I just noticed is the unzipped 1.9.6 file doesn't have "bin" on the end.
Shouldn't it have that?

it probably does but you just dont see the extension. if you can hear the beeping relating to updating then your good to go. i honestly forgot about 1.8.6 i would have to you to downgrade to that and then back up. but i would try the downgrade first the normal way

I downloaded the latest GO (3.1.3) to my phone, connected to the RC, checked FW.
It showed RC 1.6, AC 1.10.
Uninstalled 3.1.3, installed 2.4.2. RC is still 1.6, but shows AC as 1.8.80+
Confusing. Getting tired of trying to make the downgrade work.
I might try GO 2.9.1, leave the AC at 1.10, and upgrade the RC to 1.8 and see how that works.

What are you trying to achieve in the end? If you've manage to get the AC back to anything other than 1.10, I'd be happy with that. At least you can fly again

Would like to get away from GO 3.1.2/FW 1.10.90
Was trying to get the AC to 1.9.6 (with RC 1.8/GO 2.9.1).
That worked good for me. Try as I might can't get 1.9.6 on the AC, might have to leave it on 1.10.
I haven't tried debug/1.8.8 though.
Might as well give that a try.

yes, i thought you were going to downgrade to 1.8 and the back up to 1.9.6 that whats i suggested if reinstalling 1.9 didnt work

when i ended up with + at the end of my fw : reinstalling it didn the trick for me. when i downgraded from 1.10 i didnt get 1.9+, i did however get 1.7.6+ i think you will be okay to go to version 1.8.6. just try the normal downgrade method first. if that dont work then try the debug file. if it still dont work then idk you must have some other problems going on

Tried to upgrade from 1.8.80+ using straight 1.9.6. That didn't work. Tried downgrading using debug/1.8.80. That didn't work either. Now I have the mandatory 3.1.3 upgrade warning. I think I'm done.
Thanks for all the help everyone.

I spent about 2 days on this. Now I have the 3.1.3 update or die warning.
I'm done.
Thanks.

hey 1340 i got that warning on my app and it forced my to upgrade my app but not my firmware. i would suggest trying to install 1.7.6 with the debug file i bet that takes you to 1.7.6

Like I said, I spent 2 days trying to get to 1.9.6.
I'm done. I'll have to take my chances with what I have.

Never had problems doing the normal upgrades.
Just no luck downgrading from FW 1.10.9.
Never did get any file when I checked for success or failure.
No camera light flashing, no beeping, nothing.
Earlier reports have GO 3.1.3 working good, so I'm going to update, and forget about downgrading.
Sorry to cause so much trouble.

I started downgrading my P3P from 1.10.90. Firmware 1.9.60.bin and debug file on freshly formated SD and 24 minutes later DJI Go app (3.1.3) showing FW v1.9.60 installed on AC. Reformated SD and copied FW v1.8.80 and NO debug file on it. After another 24 minutes flashing finished. Checked in Go app and version now is 1.8.80+. I left FW 1.8.80.bin on the SD and reboted AC. Firmware flash did not start, app still showing 1.8.80+ and flash log gives this result:

This looks fine to me but I'm bit worried about the + sign. Should I be? Next step for me would be 1.7.60 with debug, then 1.6.40 without and then normal upgrade back to 1.7.60.
