Does the Go3 app have waypoints missions available and does the bird have to be flying to activate waypoints? Or, are you allowed to plot waypoints before you fly?

Later versions of Go3 does offer waypoint mission capability, but you must fly them to record them. You cannot plot a mission before you fly. If that's what you want to do, Litchi is your solution. It's absolutely great, and the Litchi mission hub on your PC provide MSL and relative elevations, which is very useful. Do no run Litchi and Go3 at the same time, one or the other, but both can be loaded onto your tablet. You'll need an internet connection at your flight site to upload your recorded missions to your craft from the cloud.
