Decision Time: iPad Mini 2 or Nvidia Shield?

Not sure about anyone else's Shield K1, but my HDMI port is starting to get wonky. I'm hoping a new Mini-HDMI to Micro-HDMI cable will keep it stable while mirroring to my HMD, but using an adapter, it keeps disconnecting; Not stable at all. It's also out of warranty, too. I should have taken care of this last summer, but hesitated

As a backup, I also went ahead and pulled the trigger on the DJI HDMI module.
