Unreal, myopic approaches to this technology (such as by the California Film Commission) is absolutely puzzling. Filmmakers are leaving LA in droves because filming is easier elsewhere. For crying out loud, they pay great money to rent the effing beach and other state properties.
Of course, Congress can't get it's act together on this either. Do you people realize that the simple fact is that our elected officials do nothing but get in the way? I was hoping the dims would actually shut down the government, so people would see how little relevance most of those bureaucracies have. Unfortunately the troops are the ones who would suffer the most.
