Hello all,

I want to start maintaining my bird's battery connectors, have some questions.

Is it okay to clean using medical alcohol swabs? (they are always available for me) or maybe using the alcohol from the swab on a Qtip?

Also, do i clean the exposed connector plates on the battery only, or also the pins and connectors on the phantom?

Thanks in advance. [emoji106]

Hi,

I use Q-tips and dip one end in alcohol and then squeeze most of it out so it's only damp. Then I use it to clean the 2 little pins as well as the two flat connectors in the Phantom.

I am not sure the best way to clean the female part on the battery. Perhaps someone can suggest a way.

Use a pencil eraser, my pops used to fix fax machines and used this method in hard to reach spots.
Good tip. Using a clean pencil eraser works well...then clean afterwards. I cringe when people think that 280 grit sandpaper is the way to go
