Sorry if this has been answered before. I've had a Phantom 2 Vision for a year and I'm thinking of upgrading to the P3 because of it's much longer range. Am I right, though, in thinking that models in Europe have less range because CE regulations mean they must have a lower output? What is a typical sort of flight distance of an unmodified craft in Europe? Apart from the better camera there wouldn't be much point in upgrading if the range isn't MUCH greater than the P2. Thanks in advance!

In theory they have a bit less power.
It's supposed to know to use the lower power setting dependant on your location, so if you took it outside the EU the higher power would kick in automatically.
In practice most users are not finding much difference in range.
It's more dependant on local conditions.
In ideal clear area with line of sight contact you should still get very close to 2km and further than that is possible.
