are the fpvlr antennas worth it

I have the p3 advanced which is a whole other story. From what I understand this for the P3s will get you 1.5 miles or so.

OK, so I got antenna boosters from Amazon(can't remember source). No instructions in box. Pretty simple mounting, but they both have a clear plastic covering. Should these be removed prior to use?
Also a small, cloth, lens wipe looking rectangle. To polish surface?

Protective films can be removed. The wipe cloth is to wipe your forehead after flying distances you never thought possible..
