    Hi everyone,

I just recently purchased a DJI Phantom 3 pro and am loving it. I'm new to the forums so go easy on me.

Does anyone know of any surface measuring software/apps out there? I'm trying to create a simple process where I can take some aeriel pictures of a roof and be able to measure it later on. I've stumbled across Pix4D, AGI, and RoofSnap but I'm not sure what solution to go with.

Has anyone had any experience with roofing/measuring software using a drone?

    Thank you guys!

I haven't used it for roofs, but DroneDeploy is another like Pix4D.
You mentioned AGI .... is that Agisoft Photoscan?

Yes, I mistakenly left out the "soft" lol DroneDeploy huh? I will have to look into it.. Do you think Pix4D is worth the $$$?

*I wonder how factoring in the roofs pitch would work?

    I haven't tried Pix4D so can't comment.
Without knowing the pitch angle, it would be difficult (impossible?) to calculate actual area.
