Hi all,

I bought a couple of getterbacks a few years ago but have never used them. Just wondering if there is any P4P pilots out there that use them and if so where is the best place to mount them and in what orientation etc?

I read a story on older Phantom models from a few years ago it could mess up the compass, and now the P4P has so many more sensors on it thought I would check before trying to mount one etc.

Never really flown over water before but hope to start doing it.

Any help would be great

Most Phantoms owners are attaching the GetterBack to the bottom or sides of the Phantom landing gear. There really is no ideal direction to point it since one cannot be sure which way the Phantom will land if it crashes.

Here are some photos to give you an idea of how other people are mounting the GetterBack to their Phantoms:

I'm thinking about recovery and for water this sounds (just) okay, an included GPS transmitter included would be my preference, costs of course are much higher but I'd say that's the "package" deal, sold.
