Has anyone replaced the gimbal pot with a true pot with a knob? I dont like the idea of using a lever on a trim pot. They aren't designed for it.

OK, I did a little surfing. 5K ohm Audio taper pot.

    Ratshack # 271-1720

They have a long shaft you'll need to cut off.

I need to give this guy credit for his video. he shows the solder points. What he doesn't say is you'll need to remove the little curcuit board to desolder from behind. The power button pops off before removing the board...

Don't use a Audio pot, use a linear pot. For best resolution, use a 100 Kohm pot. K as in Kilo (100,000 ohms).

Yes, I did the conversion on my P2V. Reason I'm still on firmware 2.0.

Ineresting perspective. 5K has been what Ive seen listed several times. And audio pots have a smooth ohmage increase where linear pots have a large just at the end. What makes you recomend these? Are you referring to Walkera style gimbals?
