Got Cocky and thought I was getting pretty good until I smacked right into a tree, hit so hard knocked the battery out of the compartment and also threw the camera right off of it's mounts. Scared the crap out of me. Nothing broken and everything still works. I feel like I dodged a bullet on that one.

Any Phantom pilot who says they haven't hit a tree (or ended up stuck in one) is either lying...
or never flies near trees, the smart arses.

I've lost track of how many times I've done "tree trimming".
just try to avoid the ones that are growing above concrete, phantom doesn't like concrete.
always good to keep a few spare props with you in the field, and VERY carefully inspect all props after any altercation, you might not see it, but there might be a crack that's hard to spot. - which could cause failure later on.
And also check to make sure the props are still on tight.
