Upgraded one of our Phantom 2s to the new 3.06 and it flies horribly slow. We use them to chase boats and we generally go 25-30mph. This guy won't do 20 and the reaction time is terrible. Downgraded as said a few posts prior to the previous 3.04 and it didn't help. Any other tips?
I may be crazy, but it seems the Phantom we upgraded flies slower now. Not sure which upgrade....whatever is the newest as we did it yesterday.
That said, is there gain settings or anything you can do to gain angle so they fly faster. We chase boats often and need to go 25-30.
Have a Phantom 2, bought in May with H3 3D installed by Aerial Media. Just bought a new H3 3D as the first one was a few degrees crooked after a crash. Hooked up the new one, video feed works great but the gimbal portion does not fire up. Flops around without working at all. Updated firmware...
I tried launching from a boat the other day that was sitting still but moving up and down with the waves...roughly two feet. The Phantom would flash the lights and not start up. As soon as we got to shore, it would start up just fine as it was stable. Is there a way to allow it to start up...
So good to hear. I was pretty disappointed when the Vision came out and their turn away from GoPro and the gimbal. Looking forward to getting some Phantom 2s now.
Happy New Year!
If there was one company that I would want fighting for the use of helis, it would be Amazon. This will be exciting to watch shake out.

I keep to a very strict 4min timer.
Most of the stuff we do is over water.. It's scary as a motor fail or some other freak thing will cost us the heli, gimbal, fpv and go pro...but it's so darn fun.
I have a set from DSLR Pros. Put them on my Phantom with Gimbal/FPV and it flew like garbage. Put the stock back on and it was great. I then put the CF on my naked Phantom and it flew far better but I still like the stock.
SO, I'm not a fan. Granted, the ones I have may be faulty or...
Dumb question perhaps...but anyone have thoughts on if its OK to charge the GoPro without taking it off of the gimbal?
Sure would be nice as removing it sucks.
