Wtf????!? My brand-new standard just flew away

It's crazy, even if there was a 30 mph wind why was it not hovering, as it should've been trying to return home at the same speed? Am I incorrect there?

During auto flights like RTH the drone will not fly 100% speed, they are limited to a slower speed. Atti and fighting the wind may have helped but you could also get a battery shutdown from overdrawing the battery for too long.
