The current limiting factor is the range of the stock 5.8ghz control signal.
One important difference between distance records on the P2 vs the P2V is that the P2V FPV is digital whereas the P2's is analog. In an analog system, when signal fades, static is introduced. In a digital system (especially the Vision's implementation) there is no static, below a certain point and the video simply cuts out (it's like watching netflix on your laptop and walking down the street, now it's there, now it's gone.) Anyone with long range FPV experience knows how to push through static, adjust and regain signal (for those that are old enough, it's like adjusting the rabbit ears on a TV.) With a digital signal like the Vision, it is not as forgiving and much more challenging. This could be improved in the Vision SW, but only time will tell.
