what smartphone

Hi Everyone...new member here...have flown a few of the cheaper drones, but want to buy a Phantom 3 standard.

I have a Samsung galaxy GT- s 5830.
Is this ok with the drone....? compatible ???
Or do I need a different phone to pilot the phantom..thanks for your help....Des

You could try it since you already own it. You might need to sideload DJI GO to get it installed. If it does not work well, you can find a list of recommended and commonly used devices here.
