What an awesome word "clickbait", I knew what it meant as soon as I saw it but never read it before or seen it used, maybe in part because I don't watch much TV or never seen Netflix, since it's also the name of a show. But you are right in part, bsarsit, it was to attract attention, to revisit a very long running debate about what will be the next best and greatest. And a bit of fun. But in the true sense of the word I did not intend, so it it was designed, to get clicks.
What I suppose, I was intending to convey is that while you are working and earning a decent living you are able we get caught up in the "clickbait culture" of buying the best and greatest. But there comes a time when you inevitably retire and you can no longer play that bizarre game. You just can't afford it. And like so many I do want a drone that can capture some of the beauty of this precious little blue ball and the only way I will ever be able to get a drone that can do that better than I can now is to sell what I have.
That was a long load of, maybe I should have said that in the first place. Maybe.
The reality is that for most it has always been way beyond their means to buy any such drones. Most humans still live on just a few dollars a day. That makes it even more bizarre. cheddarman is far more representative of most people, and that is in so called "advanced economies."
So apologies for misleading anyone, it was not my intent. Brian1259 is so right we live in crazy times.
Makes you think though. For example what is the ultimate purpose of "clickbait" it's not just to get clicks for the sake of it? Its to make money, that was not my intent, my comments were also intended as a bit of fun and not to be taken so seriously. I think I may have said that.
