I attended an outdoor wedding not long ago on the beach. They had a photographer taking pictures that was all over the place, walking in front of all watching, a real distraction. That plus all stills no video. That started me thinking that a drone would be a great platform to record the ceremony. But there are some pros and cons I can see;

PROS
Video the entire ceremony
Stills
No distracting photographer walking in front of the quests.

CONS
Drone noise
No audio of the service

Could the drone be flown far enough away for the noise to not be a problem and still be able to get close ups for video and stills?
There would also have to be a method of recording the couple exchange vowels.

Any ideas or methods of eliminating the CONS would be appreciated.

Hmmm. It could be great, if done right. Since you absolutely can't fly over people, it could be a challenge though. Prop noise could easily distract from the moment. There's no way a battery could do the entire ceremony,either. I can see a carefully planned moving shot of the party looking good, for sure. You'd need a 107 certificate and maybe a few waivers, too.
