Originally wanted a Mavic Pro.
Couldn't find b one in storesome, wanted to see it in person to see what I was getting.
Also wanted to pay for it with cash.
After doing a lot of homework.
It seems like if you are a racer. Or if you travel a lot.
The mavic pro is what you would want.

Considering I don't travel much.
And I dont race.
And their is no payload for the mavic.
Think i'my gonna keep my Phantom 4 .
They had the Phantom 4 pro at Best Buy.
But it was 400.00 more..
I didn't want to spent 1499.00 vers 1099.00

This is my 1st drone.
Think I got plenty of time to learn.
Just got my FAA numbers Friday.
Got to b get a label makers and put numbers on it.
Now I need to go get some insurance on it.
And I'd like to join a RF club so I can use their field. And it has electricity. And a awnings.
Big open place.
I'm sure in the future at the rate drones are going.
The sky is the limit on what they are gonna release.

The Mavic is not a racing drone. In fact, its top speed is a little slower than the Phantom 4's top speed.

Didn't realize that. Thanks for the Reminder.
I did read that the P4 has a little better camera.
And correct me if'n I'm wrong. But I think the P4 may be a little more durable.

I've only had one calibrate the compass, and a short run to test it out.
The RC club field I was on required you to have insurance.
I hadn't gotten that far yet.
Between driving 50 miles to buy it and getting it setup and all I took 2 days.

It depends on which features you're using. For the type of things most people are doing, they won't notice the difference in the quality of the photos/video.

Its camera/gimbal isn't as fragile. The rest of the aircraft probably isn't any more durable though.
