Hey everyone, I want to purchase the new version of the Phantom 2 and mount a Nikon 1 J4 camera with FPV. It weighs about 300g. Anyone know how I would do this? Thanks!
I want at least a 2 axis gimbal, I want to be able to tilt down, it doesn't have to be stabilized, but that is always a plus. Anyone else have any ideas?
Seems a similar size to a Sony NEX, for which you can readily find gimbals on Ebay.
You will have to spend time configuring/calibrating the gimbal (unless it's exactly the same weight & balance as the Sony, or if it's not calibrated in the first place).
Your big issue is weight. Gimbals for cameras in the 300g class are going to weigh more than the payload. You have ~500g to play with, on a stock Phantom 2, and 700+ on the P2v2 apparently.
I 3D print basic mounts for P2s that are suitable for a range of cameras. My signature should have a link to my Shapeways store.
