I thought the explanation about retaining memory between flights made a lot of sense, also if you get a GPS drop out during flight, the recovery period would be very short and possibly save the craft from a major flyaway while GPS is trying to get satellite lock for nearly a minute. I don't know. Wish I knew more about what that battery/super cap actually does and why DJI put it on the board in the first place.

The s-cap retains the u-Blox GPS engine's volatile memory between flights.
This could reduce sat-lock time at power-up.
As far as a drop-out in flight this would not happen without a loss of [main] power in which you'd have other more pressing problems.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where I can get the patch and booster now? The eBay link for the booster says item not available and I can’t find an alternative. Toaglas don’t list the CGGP patch on their site either, but a gps/Galileo patch and I don’t know if this is any good in the uk?
It seems bonkers that the OP was only a few months ago and I can’t find either product.
