Updating firmware

I downloaded the file put my aircraft on and it does not update lights just keep blinking no sound at all what I am doing wrong.

Hard to say without being there.
Go back and check the instructions.
Did you put the .bin file in the root of the sd card like this?
It won't work if it's in a directory.
